Home Eye Care Professionals
When the door closes behind me, I love feeling that I’ve made a difference.
Sandra Smith, Optometrist, Wallasey
Everyone who works at Healthcall Optical is dedicated to providing the very best in home eye care. And having an enjoyable day too. Here you can meet a few of our team of eye care professionals.
Aidan | BSc (Hons) MCOptom.
I have been employed by Healthcall Optical Services, as an optometrist, for almost 6 years…
Unlike a lot of Optometrists, I am not confined to a dark room all day. We are always traveling to beautiful locations. In particular, I love going to the lake district or the coast to examine a wide range of patients. Examples include elderly patients in their own home or care homes, young patients with brain injury and patients in secure psychiatric units. They rely totally on our professional skills and integrity, something we have at the heart of the company.
The clinical director is always available to discuss any concerns I may have and we work together to make sure we provide the best in eye care for our patients.
Ange | Appointment Scheduler
I have worked for Healthcall for 10 years now and I can safely say – no two days are ever the same!
It’s incredibly satisfying working with a great team and taking calls from patients we’ve seen saying how our services have changed their lives.
Angus | Care Home Service Consultant
Healthcall understand that Care Home managers need a visiting optician who will call to provide individual eye tests and eye health services as new residents are admitted. We take the pain out of organising tests for groups of residents, handling enquiries from residents and relatives respecting their dignity and wishes.
Jayne | Director
Jayne Rawlinson has been a Director of Healthcall Optical Services for the last 8 years. Jayne is a qualified adult and children’s nurse and holds a degree in marketing. She previously held senior managerial positions in both the NHS and private health sector.
Since joining the optical profession in 2001 Jayne has been active in a number of roles including chair of the Domiciliary Eyecare Committee, non-executive director of FODO and was appointed chair of FODO in May 2009.
